Buyer's guide · Dental

How to choose a dental SEO company, and how to check the one you have.

The short answer: hire the company that measures your practice before it touches anything, writes the treatment pages itself, and lets you keep everything if you leave. This page gives you the questions, the price range, and our own receipts so you can judge us by the same standard.

The five questions that separate real work from a retainer

  1. Where does my practice rank today, exactly? A real answer is a list of searches and positions, city by city, captured before any work starts. Without that starting line, every later claim is unfalsifiable.
  2. Who writes my treatment pages? The implant page, the Invisalign cost page, the emergency page. Ask to read one the company wrote for another practice.
  3. What does the monthly report show? Calls and forms, or only impressions. Impressions can climb while the phone stays quiet.
  4. Do I keep the site, the domain, and the content if I leave? Get the answer in writing.
  5. What will you not do? A company that will not name its limits has not thought about them.

Specialist or general agency

Dental SEO is mostly writing about procedures patients are nervous about and prices they want to know before they call. That is why a dental specialist usually wins the treatment searches: the pages answer the actual question. A strong general agency can be excellent at the technical half and still ship an implant page that says nothing a patient needed.

The reverse risk is real too. A dental specialist running one template across forty practices is not a specialist, it is a factory. The test is the same either way: read a page they wrote.

What it costs

Our dental work starts at $2,000 a month, month to month, with no contract, and you own everything.

For outside context: the Ahrefs SEO Pricing survey of 439 SEO service providers reported that SEO providers serving the worldwide market averaged $3,473.74/month. We quote that because it is a survey of providers, not a claim about what any specific agency charges. Well below that range normally buys shared, low-effort content; well above it should come with a named senior person doing the work.

Our dental receipts, with the frames kept honest

Judge us the way this page tells you to judge anyone. Each item below is labelled as a result, a starting condition, or work delivered, because those are three different things and most agencies blur them.

Client result

#1 organic result for a money search in a dental market

An Invisalign cost page I built for an Arizona dental office ranks #1 in organic results for a high-intent cost search in its city.

Client result

Position 1 for branded searches across all three offices

All three offices of an Arizona dental group hold position 1 for their own branded searches, with clean sitewide technical health.

Work delivered

Full treatment-page architecture across a 3-office dental group

Nine treatment content clusters and dozens of local suburb pages designed, written, and shipped across three dental office websites, alongside full technical SEO and review strategy.

Client baseline

The starting line: one map-pack appearance in 54 checks

Before the work began, we checked 54 commercial searches across the three cities. The group appeared in the local 3-pack once. That baseline is locked and every future claim gets measured against it.

This is the documented starting condition of the engagement, not a result claim.

The dental campaign behind these items is still running. The full write-up, including the parts that are not finished, is on the Arizona dental group case study.

When we are the wrong choice

  • You need new patients this month. SEO is not a fast channel. Paid search is.
  • You want a guaranteed position. We will not sell one, in Google or in an AI answer, because nobody controls either.
  • You want the cheapest option available. We are not it.
  • Nobody at the practice can approve content or hand over access. The work stalls and you pay for a stalled month.
Buyer questions

Choosing a dental SEO company.

What should a dental practice actually compare between SEO companies?

Ask for the starting measurement. A company that cannot tell you where your practice ranks today cannot prove it moved anything later. Then ask who writes the treatment pages, whether you keep the website and domain if you leave, what the monthly report shows, and whether the work is specific to dentistry or a template used on every industry.

Is a dental specialist better than a general SEO agency?

For treatment searches, usually yes, because the work is mostly content about procedures patients are nervous about and prices they want to know. A generalist can do the technical half well and still write implant and Invisalign pages that say nothing. Ask to read a treatment page the company wrote before you sign anything.

How much should dental SEO cost?

Our dental work starts at $2,000 a month, month to month, with no contract. For market context, the Ahrefs SEO Pricing survey of 439 SEO service providers reported that SEO providers serving the worldwide market averaged $3,473.74/month. Anything far below that range usually means a single writer producing low-effort pages for many practices at once.

How long before a dental practice sees results?

A healthy site can begin earning new impressions within weeks, but meaningful movement on competitive treatment searches usually takes several months. The timing depends on your market, the condition of your website, your local competition, and your review base. No honest company will give you a ranking date it does not control.

What is the biggest warning sign?

A guaranteed ranking, a guaranteed position in an AI answer, or a report that only shows numbers going up. Impressions can rise while booked appointments fall. Ask to see calls and forms, not just graphs.

Do we keep everything if we leave?

With us, yes. The website, domain, content, and Google Business Profile remain yours. Ask every company you talk to the same question in writing, because some rent you the site and keep it when you stop paying.
